Redevelopment of a Historic Hotel

Portsmouth is in the process of acquiring a well-known historic hotel in Chicago.  A complete redevelopment of the iconic property in downtown Chicago is planned to commence in the 4th Quarter 2023.  The redeveloped hotel will now be flagged with one of the world’s leading Luxury Hotel Groups and will consist of approximately 98 Luxury Hotel keys with a predominance of 60% 1- and 2-bedroom Suites.  The uppermost floors of the hotel will include approximately 75 Luxury Hotel Branded Residential Condominiums.

The Hotel was originally developed circa 1920 and visited by past U.S. Presidents, European Royalty, and a large roster of Hollywood Celebrities.  It is located fronting Lake Michigan and the “Magnificent Mile”, Chicago’s most desirable luxury retail neighborhood.
